8-DAY Tour Itinerary: cacablanca to marrakech
Start your Morocco tour in Casablanca by meeting at Mohammed V International Airport or at your hotel pick-up point. Begin with an excursion to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, which is among the largest and most spectacular mosques worldwide and built right on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. After spending time in Casablanca, proceed on a sightseeing tour to the city of Rabat, the capital city of Morocco renowned for its serene setting and beautiful architecture. Get ready for your trip to the beautiful Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the enchanting Kasbah of the Udayas overlooking the Bouregreg River. Your accommodation for today will be in a traditional riad or in a cozy hotel located in Rabat.

On day two of your Morocco tour, leave Rabat on route to Meknes, the fourth imperial city of Morocco, with great historical significance and amazing architecture. During your tour around Meknes, you will have the opportunity to visit Bab Mansour gate, the historical Royal Stables, and Heri es-Souani granaries. Afterward, head to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved ruins and columns. You can learn about the Roman legacy left by the Romans in Morocco through this fascinating site. Drive to Fes later in the afternoon and get settled into a wonderful riad in the medina.

Get ready to explore all parts of Fes during your full-day guided tour. The city of Fes is one of the best-preserved medieval cities and a UNESCO-listed site that features numerous historical monuments, cultural heritage, and bustling souks. Visit the famous and prestigious Al Quaraouiyine University, which is believed to be the oldest university globally, and marvel at the unique design of the Bou Inania Madrasa. Discover the famous Chouara Tannery where leather products are processed traditionally. Take a walking tour through artisan areas, bazaars, and other exciting attractions of the city. Leave Fes and travel south through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first stop will be in Ifrane, which is known for its alpine-style architecture and is often called the "Switzerland of Morocco." After lunch in Midelt, which is famous for its apple orchards, drive through the stunning Ziz Valley, which is full of palm groves and dramatic scenery. Get to Merzouga, the entrance to the Sahara Desert, in the late afternoon. Take a magical camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to see the sunset. Go to Rissani, which is known for its real souk and traditional market feel. Then go to Erfoud, which is known for its fossil workshops. Travel on to the amazing Todra Gorges, a photographer's and nature lover's paradise where huge cliffs make a dramatic canyon. Later, drive through the beautiful Dades Valley, which is known for its unusual rock formations and green landscapes. Spend the night in a hotel or guesthouse in Dades Valley.

The time it will take to drive is about 5 to 6 hours.
After breakfast, visit the Valley of Roses, which smells great, and the Skoura Oasis, which is full of palm trees. These are two of Morocco's best-kept secrets. Go on to Ouarzazate, which is often called the "Hollywood of Africa." There, you can see the historic Taourirt Kasbah or take a tour of the famous film studios. Then go to the famous Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco's most famous ksars. It has been in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Spend a quiet night near Ait Ben Haddou or in Ouarzazate.

Today, cross the stunning High Atlas Mountains through the famous Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,260 meters). The views are amazing, and you'll see traditional Berber villages along the way. Along the way, there are beautiful places to stop and take pictures and learn about the culture. You will get to Marrakech in the afternoon. You can relax or explore the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square, which is full of street performers, food stalls, and local life. Stay the night in a lovely riad in Marrakech.

On your last day, take a guided tour of Marrakech to see the city's best sights. Go see the beautiful Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the old Saadian Tombs. Check out the busy souks and medina, which are great for shopping and learning about the culture. If you want to add some art to your trip, you can visit the famous Majorelle Garden and Yves Saint Laurent Museum.
