4-DAY Tour Itinerary:agadir to Sahara Desert
Day 1: Agadir ➝ Taroudant ➝ Taliouine ➝ Ouarzazate
Leave Agadir early in the morning and travel along the lovely Anti-Atlas Mountains. Visit Taroudant, nicknamed "Little Marrakech," to walk around its ancient medina and ramparts. Drive on to Taliouine, known for saffron, and onward to Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of Africa," to see kasbahs and movie studios. Overnight in Ouarzazate. Look for a riad hotel with an ambiance evoking past centuries.
Day 2:Ouarzazate ➝ Skoura ➝ Dades Valley ➝ Todra Gorge ➝ Merzouga Desert
Travel along the oasis of Skoura and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley and its red rock formations. Travel on to the Todra Gorge, a remarkable canyon suitable for a short trek. In the afternoon, travel to Merzouga. Take a camel ride into the dunes of Erg Chebbi and observe a magical sunset over the desert. Camp overnight under the stars in a Berber desert camp.
Day 3: Merzouga ➝ Rissani ➝ Alnif ➝ Tazarine ➝ Agdz
Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the dunes, and afterwards return by camel to Merzouga. Visit Rissani, a traditional desert town renowned for its souk and history. Drive through Alnif and Tazarine en route to Agdz, which is situated in the Draa Valley with its apparently endless palms groves and ancient kasbahs. Overnight stay in Agdz.
Day 4: Agdz ➝ Taznakht ➝ Taroudant ➝ Agadir
Break breakfast and travel via scenic roads through Taznakht, a town famous for traditional Berber hand-woven carpets. Resume your journey back through Taroudant with time to explore its bustling local markets. Arrive in Agadir in the evening and the tour ends.
